South Coast Wine

The New South Wales South Coast is known for its white sand beaches, picturesque coastline, fresh food and of course, its wine. With vineyards extending all the way from Kiama to Bawley Point, the Shoalhaven Coast wine region is home to some of the most unique south coast wine experiences. From stunning locations surrounded by lush greenery and water views, to meeting the winemakers right at the cellar doors, to premium award winning wines, it’s an experience for all.

Coolangatta Estate

Located at Shoalhaven Heads, surrounded by views of the Pacific Ocean and the vast rural landscape, Coolangatta Estate offers the full wine experience. Equipped with wine tasting, fine dining, and historic convict-built accommodation, it is the South Coast region’s Most Awarded Winery. Coolangatta Estate has been family owned and operated for the last 70 years, rich with over 195 years of history that can still be enjoyed today by staying in the restored convict-built village or chatting to the winemakers.

Surrounded by rural land, ocean and river, the estate is named after the mountain that it is situated on, ’Coolangatta’, an Aboriginal word translating to ‘splendid view’. The wines are renowned for being light and easy to drink, pairing perfectly with a seafood platter. Open 7 days from 10am until 5pm, South Coast wine can be enjoyed any day of the week.

Cupitt’s Winery

Located on the New South Wales South Coast, between Milton and Ulladulla, Cupitt’s Estate is more than just an Award Winning Winery. Trading as a restaurant, bar, brewery, fromagerie (cheese tasting shop), winery, wedding venue and accommodation, it offers something for everyone. Cupitt’s Estate is family owned and operated by the Cupitt family, who choose to make wine on the South Coast because of its climate, location and interesting mix of soils. The result is a pure and intense tasting wine, with old fashioned qualities.

Cupitt’s Winery also offers South Coast wine experiences to be enjoyed with friends and family. There really is an experience for everyone, but I have to recommend the Cupitt’s Estate Wine Forage. Learn about the history of the estate, admire the breathtaking vineyards and indulge in private wine tasting with your loved ones. Open 7 days from 10am until 5pm, South Coast wine really can be enjoyed any day of the week.

Two Figs Winery

Located just outside of Berry, on one of Mount Coolangatta’s foothills, Two Figs Winery boasts panoramic views of the Shoalhaven River and Shoalhaven Heads beaches. Established in 2003, the winery is family owned and operated by Shayne Bricker and his wife, Alison, who choose to make wine on the South Coast because of its climate and location. From this, comes a wine that is soft and approachable, best served with local produce.

With sunsets that will take your breath away all year round, there’s no better way to enjoy an afternoon glass of wine. Open 7 days from 11am until 5pm, it is confirmed that South Coast wine should definitely be enjoyed any day of the week.
