Pokolbin is where most of the Hunter Valley cellar doors are, about two hours from Sydney. The Hunter is Australia’s oldest wine region and its Semillon is the thing it does that nowhere else does as well.
If you are tasting, do not drive. The region runs plenty of shuttles and tour operators for exactly this reason.
