Hyams Beach is the small village on the southern side of Jervis Bay with the sand everyone photographs. The water is clear and shallow enough for kids, and the White Sands Walk starts here and runs through to Greenfield Beach.
Be realistic about access. Hyams is tiny, the streets are residential, and over peak summer periods the village restricts parking and runs shuttle arrangements. Check before you drive down on a hot January Saturday, or go in the shoulder season when none of that applies.
